چکیده

FLUSEPA 1 is an advanced simulation tool which performs a large panel of aerodynamic studies. It is the unstructured finite-volume solver developed by Airbus Safran Launchers company to calculate compressible, multidimensional, unsteady, viscous and reactive flows around bodies in relative motion. The time integration in FLUSEPA is done using an explicit temporal adaptive method. The current production version of the code is based on MPI and OpenMP. This implementation leads to important synchronizations that must be reduced. To tackle this problem, we present the study of a task-based parallelization of the aerodynamic solver of FLUSEPA using the runtime system StarPU and combining up to three levels of parallelism. We validate our solution by the simulation (using a finite-volume mesh with 80 million cells) of a take-off blast wave propagation for Ariane 5 launcher. c © 2011 Published by Elsevier Ltd.

An Enhanced Flux Treatment in Solving Incompressible Flow in a Forward-Facing Step

The aim of this paper is to give a detailed effect of several parameters such as step height, Reynolds number, contraction ratio, and temperature difference between the entrance and solid boundaries, of a forward-facing step. An accurate length of separation and reattachment zones are achieved. A finite-volume method (FVM) has been developed to study incompressible flow in a forward-facing step...

Design a Guidance Law Considering Approximation of Missile Control Loop Dynamics Using Adaptive Back-Stepping Theory

In this paper, a new guidance law is designed to improve the performance of a homing missiles guidance system in terminal phase. For this purpose first of all, the two dimensions equations of motion are formulated, then the approximation dynamic of missile control loop is added to these equations which are nonlinear whit unmatched uncertainty. Then, a new adaptive back-stepping method is develo...

Volume-Filling Effects on Sloshing Frequency in Simplified and Explicit Dynamic Finite Element Models of Tank Wagons During Braking and Turning

Numerical analysis of fluid sloshing in tank wagons is amongst essential research ideas that are focused by railway engineers. The free surface of fluid becomes unstable and turns into a dynamic complex non-linear problem for fluid-structure interaction (FSI). In this paper, initially, the dynamic response of the tank, including lateral force analysis and pressure distribution during braking, i...

Designing a Robust Control Scheme for Robotic Systems with an Adaptive Observer

This paper introduces a robust task-space control scheme for a robotic system with an adaptive observer. The proposed approach does not require the availability of the system states and an adaptive observer is developed to estimate the state variables. These estimated states are then used in the control scheme. First, the dynamic model of a robot is derived. Next, an observer-based robust contr...
